The Iranian Humanists Association, based on the fundamental principles of human rights, rationalism, and the right to self-determination, hereby declares our profound outrage and absolute condemnation of the ongoing massacres, systemic repression, and flagrant human rights violations perpetrated by the Islamic Republic regime.
As the world witnesses the unparalleled courage of the Iranian people in their defiance of religious tyranny, the ruling regime has once again demonstrated that it knows no bounds in its brutality to maintain its grip on power. According to credible international reports, including statements from Humanists International, the Islamic Republic has intensified its use of state-sanctioned executions and violent crackdowns on street protests throughout 2025 and early 2026 in a desperate attempt to silence the nation’s call for justice.
Key Pillars of This Statement:
Condemnation of the Massacre of Protesters: We categorize the direct firing upon civilians, extrajudicial executions, and the torture of detainees as "crimes against humanity." We demand that the perpetrators and those who gave the orders be held accountable in international tribunals.
Rejection of Religious Dictatorship: From a humanist perspective, no ideology or religion stands above human dignity. We vehemently condemn the imposition of medieval laws and the deprivation of individual liberties, particularly the systemic oppression of women and minorities.
Absolute Solidarity with the Iranian People: We stand firmly with the men and women fighting to overthrow the regime of the Islamic Republic to achieve a secular, democratic society founded on universal human rights. Your voice is the waking conscience of humanity.
Call to the International Community: We urge the United Nations and human rights organizations to move beyond symbolic gestures. We call for decisive punitive measures against the Iranian regime and full support for the Iranian People.
The Islamic Republic does not represent the people of Iran. The future of Iran belongs to reason, liberty, and human dignity. We shall remain steadfast in our support for the people of Iran until justice and freedom are realized.
"No power is greater than the human will for freedom."
The Iranian Humanist Association
